I love making art, and I have my whole life. I don’t have any artist statement other than to say I make art because it wants to be made and it brightens my life. 

I gave art up for several years in my twenties and early 30’s, but when my daughter was born, something in me woke up, and I’ve been painting and creating regularly ever since. My style has often changed, but my commitment to uplifting, nature-inspired work has remained the same. 

I grew up in southeastern Connecticut and regularly yearn for summertime in New England. I currently live with my family outside of Asheville, NC (I came here in 2004, before it was the “it” place to be!), where I make art in the sunroom off my kitchen. I love to travel, especially when it involves beautiful scenery, to read, to write, and to be outdoors. I regularly kill plants, but it’s never my intention.
